Visit Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation, a fascinating aviation and transportation museum located on the northeast corner of the Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City. This hands-on museum preserves and shares Siouxland’s rich history through authentic aircraft, transportation exhibits, and engaging educational experiences.
The museum is also home to a powerful exhibit honoring United Airlines Flight 232, sharing the story of the July 19, 1989 emergency landing in Sioux City and the incredible teamwork and heroism that followed — a moving tribute to a defining moment in our community’s history.
