On Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM, longtime postcard collector Dave Bishop will enlighten the audience with his presentation on “Post Cards from Sioux City.” Admission is free with reception to follow.

Long before e-mails and texts, postcards were the way people shared images and messages.
Bishop will share past views of downtown, street scenes, buildings, and events. He is a frequent presenter of local postcard history programs at the Center.

Assistant Director of Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Theresa Jackson, states “Bishop’s programs are a must for lovers of local history.” In every one of Bishops’ programs, he tells a different story of Siouxland in cards. He has covered stories of local transportation, restaurants, advertising, floods, and many more.
