This is an educational event that centers Indigenous voices in addressing one of America’s beloved holiday – Thanksgiving. For most families, the narrative tells a tale of how settlers and Native Americans came together and shared the first Thanksgiving meal peacefully. Local Native panelists will share their perspective on what Thanksgiving truly means from an Indigenous perspective and shed some light on the real historic events that took place with our First Nations after “Thanksgiving” in America.
