The Alley Art Festival is reinventing the alleys of Downtown Sioux City on Saturday, September 20 with BRAND NEW MURALS, ART VENDORS, LIVE MUSIC, KIDS ACTIVITIES, & MORE!
This open-air art experience invites YOU and the whole family to get involved:
BRAND NEW MURALS
Explore Sioux City’s largest refreshed outdoor gallery of 140+ murals with 28 NEW MURALS this year!
Murals are created by local and regional artists selected through an application process. Their creative work has turned a previously unconventional alley way into Sioux City’s most unique outdoor art experience.
Participating muralists have a chance to receive Best of Show, 2nd, 3rd, Honorable Mention, People’s Choice, and Vangarde Board Award awarding more than $3,000 in prizes!
While you wander the wonders of the alleys, remember to vote for your favorite mural to win the People’s Choice Award!
FAMILY ACTIVITIES
The fun doesn’t stop there! September 20 will be full of lively creative activities for the young and young at heart. Kids can head to the kids zone & get creative with a variety of FREE activities!
Create your very own “Jingle Ring” tambourine, sidewalk murals, and EVERYONE can add a creative flare to the festival community mural!
2:00pm – Kid’s can join the Jingle Ring Parade led by a local musician in the Kid’s Zone!
ART VENDORS
Add a new creation or three to your collection while browsing original artwork from 27 regional art vendors on 5th Street!
LIVE MUSIC
Find live music in every alley and along 4th Street all day long!

7:00 – HEADLINER Studebaker John & the Hawks
Studebaker John’s career has spanned six decades with tours across Europe and the United States. With over 20 albums released, he’s one of Chicago’s most legendary blues musicians.
9:00 – Lazarus Go Home
9:45 – The Gutter Collective
10:30 – Banana Cramps
Back Alley Stage – Vangarde Arts Almost Famous Open Mic Crew, DJ Mega Mike, The Sound Insurgent, DJ Rio, and more!
