— On Sunday, January 19, at 2:00pm, join us as Brian Buckmeier and Darren Maurer discuss their “Dinosaurs of the Hell Creek” museum exhibit that will be at the Sioux City Museum from Feb. 1 to July 31. Admission is free; reception to follow.

The pair have been hunting and digging fossilized dinosaur bones from the Hell Creek formation for almost 30 years. The pair have found fossils from T-Rex, triceratops, edmontosaurus, and several other species of late Cretaceous dinosaurs. Brian discovered a new species of dinosaur, named Dracorex, in 2003. He found the complete upper skull of the dinosaur which was something that was completely new in the paleontology world. Join us to hear about some of the fossils and an idea what will be contained in the exhibit.
