SUX PRIDE was established in 2016 and the core value for our organization has always been simple. Love will always win. The organization was founded to give queer people a space to come together and celebrate one another. Throughout the years we have grown and have showcased to Siouxland and neighboring, cities, and states that we are here, we are queer, and we are not going anywhere. Our event takes place the first weekend of June. The Board is comprised of every queer person on the LGBTQIA2S+ spectrum and allies. We meet throughout the year and create meaningful opportunities that leave an everlasting impact on our community. We showcase some of the richest and most diverse talent in the area. Drag artists, burlesque artists, musical acts, and other artists have a safe space to showcase their artistry. We have had the privilege to expand our reach and have even been featured in local publications such as The Sioux City Journal and KTIV News Channel. SUX Pride has been recognized as one of the largest growing pride events in the Midwest by The Sioux City Journal.

From the shadows of the ether we bring you Aladdin Side, the enchanting Demon of the Midwest! They are back from the tomb and ready to indulge in some delicious mortal mischief. The fangs aren’t just for show, but certainly ready for play, let the feast begin!

Kassie Kain
She’s the talk of the Midwest and the star on constant rise, Kassie Kain. Bringing an element of old school drag with a modern twist. With energy, charisma and sass, Kassie always leaves audiences wanting more. Kassie is a guaranteed showstopper with her natural stage presence and stunning beauty.

Jackie Oh Kennedy
“The First Lady of Omaha” and always an audience favorite, Jackie Oh Kennedy. With endless creativity, class and style, Jackie has become one of Nebraska’s top entertainers. Jackie leaves audiences wanting more as she displays her passion and spirit on the stage each and every time. She has previously held the titles of Miss Fresh Fish of Nebraska and Miss Max, Miss Supreme Bitch & is a current co-reigning Miss Flixx.

Persephone Shakers
Persephone Shakers is a one of the most respected entertainers in the area, she is Sioux City’s own Dancing Queen, Persephone Shakers. For a decade, Persephone has entertained audiences throughout the Midwest with her impeccable dance, flawless beauty and irresistible charisma. With her positive attitude, humble nature and motivated drive, Persephone has become one of the most beloved entertainers. Throughout her career, Persephone has won the titles of Miss Midwest Icon, Miss Siouxland Pride, Miss Nebraska United States, Miss Capital City United States at Large, and most recently South Dakota Ultimate Entertainer.

She is Sioux City’s Latin Diva and audience favorite, the ‘sex kitten of the Midwest’, the beautiful and talented Alessandra Jacobs. For eight years, Alessandra has dominated the Midwest entertainment scene with her undeniable beauty, sense of fashion, iconic looks and irresistible charisma. Alessandra’s talents have earned her the titles of Miss Baby Ball and Miss Sioux City Latina both of which marked the first for a trans woman to earn both titles.

She is one of the most recognized and respected names throughout the Midwest, she is the Tower of Power, the legendary Jessica West Bower. For nearly 25 years, Jessica Bower has entertained and moved audiences with her dynamic presence on-stage and ability to powerfully deliver a ballad like no other. Her legacy is undeniable as she has won literally almost every title possible within the state of Nebraska, as well as completed at the National Level 3 times placing top 5 every time. As well as here in Sioux City as a former Miss Jones Street Station. Jessica’s legacy transcends off-stage as well, known for her charitable contributions to her community and endless support to all performers past, present and those aspiring. Jessica is also the owner and promoter of one of the most creative competitions in the state of Nebraska as the owner and promoter of Fire and Brimstone as pageant running over 19 years going strong.

He is Nebraska’s Fashionista, serving glamorous looks and dripping in rhinestones, Claudio T Sol. Starting his career off as a backup dancer, Claudio quickly ascended from backup dancer to a main star. With his instant charm and charisma, Claudio woos audiences with his flexibility and athleticism. Throughout his career, Claudio has won the titles of Mister Midwest Esquire, Das Haus Monarch, and Mister Fire & Brimstone. Recently, Claudio became the promoter of the annual Nebraska Drag Awards, which recognizes the best of the area’s entertainers.
