On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00am, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is unveiling a new exhibit “The Wall of Unsung Heroes.”
The Lewis and Clark Expedition had over 40 members, and most people know about the Captains, Sacagawea, Sgt. Floyd, York and Seaman the dog. But few know about the other members. This new exhibit shares specifics about many soldiers who were crucial to the success of the expedition.
Along with the information of the men, the display has artwork by Michael Haynes. His artwork has been enjoyed by even the most casual Lewis and Clark fans in publications, museum displays, historical re-enactments, and hundreds of interpretive signs along the historic trail. The display panels were developed by graphic artist Pat Osborne.
