This powerful display offers a moving look into the past and honors the memory of those who endured one of history’s darkest PERIODS.

Step into a powerful and moving chapter of history at the Holocaust Rails exhibit located at the Sioux City Railroad Museum. This permanent display features a replica of a World War II-era German railroad boxcar—the type used to transport Jews and other targeted groups to Nazi concentration camps. Through artifacts, testimonial videos, informative panels, and preserved history, the exhibit honors the memory of the victims and serves as a sobering reminder of the atrocities of the Holocaust. Both educational and deeply emotional, the Holocaust Rails exhibit connects local visitors to global history in a tangible, unforgettable way. It reminds all visitors this can never happen again.

Open April through November, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 12-4.
