The Alley Art Festival is reinventing the alleys of Downtown Sioux City on Saturday, September 5 on Labor Day Weekend!
Spend the day exploring 27 brand-new murals, shopping original artwork, enjoying live music, grabbing great food, and making your own art with hands-on activities for all ages.
This year’s festival is your chance to experience Sioux City’s ever-growing outdoor art gallery with:
BRAND NEW MURALS
The alley is home to 140+ murals with 27 NEW MURALS joining the collection this year!
Murals are created by talented local and regional artists selected through an application process. Their work has transformed an unconventional alleyway into one of Sioux City’s most unique public spaces.
All new murals have a chance to receive Best of Show, 2nd, 3rd, Honorable Mention, People’s Choice, and Vangarde Board Award awarding more than $3,000 in prizes!
Don’t forget to vote for your favorite mural at the festival to help decide the People’s Choice Award!

Shop original artwork from 40 talented regional artists and makers along 5th Street and add a one-of-a-kind piece to your collection! Watch our page for vendor announcements!

LIVE MUSIC
BlackCat Zydeco is taking the BRAND NEW alleyway stage as this year’s headliner! The impressive line up features the Kris Lager Band, Sexy Cash, Plastic Blow, and more!
Buskers will be popping up throughout the day as you wander the festival.

FOOD & DRINKS
Come hungry! Food Trucks on site include: Diamond Thai, Robles Taqueria, Mama Moon Rayes, and La Palapa.
Beer, wine, water, and soda will also be available for purchase.
