President Jefferson tasked Lewis and Clark to keep journals of the expedition. They kept two copies in case one got lost. The sergeants also kept a journal. Why? Because it was important to record the many plants, animals, landscapes, and more that they encountered. You will get a journal so you can make a record like the captains!
